Assalaamu ‘Alaikum,
We would like to welcome all the students and the parents. Our goal is to provide Islamic Education for young Muslims ages 4 and up and to build Muslim identity. We focus on three main subjects: Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies. Our class is held weekly on Sundays from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm. We hope you all will have an exciting and educational school year. Here is some information you will find useful for you and your student.
We will meet for 35 weeks this school year. Siraj Weekend School is designed to help students ages 4 and up to learn the basic knowledge that will help them practice Islam in their daily lives. Parents are asked to facilitate their students’ practice of Islamic behavior. This includes being a partner with your child’s Islamic education (such as reviewing homework) and through practice. One of the major practices is praying the Dhuhr prayer at the conclusion of school on
Sundays (and another prayer during the week) with your students in the congregation.
